Transport
Daffodils has a fleet of buses that reach most parts of the city. Each bus is equipped with a GPS surveillance and communication system featuring live tracking, real-time alerts, and event logs. All drivers are trained and monitored to ensure the safety of every child. A female attendant is present on every bus throughout the journey, and teaching staff accompany the students as well.
Computer Lab
We have two computer labs equipped with 70 internet-enabled systems exclusively for student use. Each class has a designated computer period, allowing students to develop digital skills and complete academic projects. In addition, DES has a resource lab with 12 computers dedicated to High School students. Trained teachers are always available to assist with research and project work. The entire BIS campus is also Wi-Fi enabled.
Designated Play Area for Little Learners
DES has a safe, vibrant, and engaging play area designed especially for early years children. It features colourful slides, a small climbing wall, and playful animal structures for children to enjoy. This cheerful space allows our youngest learners to step outside their classrooms and experience the joy of play in a secure environment.
Drama, Dance and Music Studios
Dance, dramatics, and music classes are a favourite among students—and for good reason. Our professional dance instructors help children explore both Indian and contemporary styles. Experienced drama teachers engage students in a range of acting techniques, while our two soundproof music rooms provide the perfect environment for vocal training. Instruments such as the guitar, drums, and violin are offered as extracurricular activities. DES also has a student band, along with Middle and High School choirs.
Smart Classrooms
Our classrooms are designed to support interactive and engaging learning experiences. Each room is equipped with projectors and integrated audio-visual systems, while select rooms feature Apple TVs to enhance digital learning and collaboration.
Science Lab
The Chemistry, Biology, and Physics labs adhere to all safety guidelines and provide students with a stimulating environment to explore the practical side of science. Experienced lab technicians and teachers are always present to guide and support students in their experiments and learning.
Geo Lab
A geography lab is a crucial educational space that provides hands-on, practical experience to complement the theoretical study of geography. Equipped with tools like maps, globes, and meteorological instruments, it allows students to visualize complex concepts and develop essential analytical skills. A geography lab is not found in all schools commonly. At Daffodils, the activities conducted in the lab encourage the spirit of research and exploration among the children.
Daffodils Sports Grounds
Daffodils features an exclusive ground equipped with a wide range of facilities for students to enjoy throughout the day. The centre includes a 200-metre athletic track, a cricket pitch, football turfs, basketball courts, swimming pools, and dedicated areas for shot put, high jump, discus throw, long jump, and triple jump.
Our football field and basketball courts are made of materials designed to reduce strain on the knees, ensuring safer play. The grounds also include a throwball court, providing students with ample opportunities to engage in diverse sporting activities.
Infirmary (Medical Bay)
Daffodils has a full-time qualified nurse and doctor on campus. The medical bay is well-stocked and equipped to handle minor injuries, allergies, and illnesses, with several beds available for rest and recovery. In case of emergencies, nearby hospitals are easily accessible to ensure timely medical care.
Fine Arts
DES places great emphasis on creativity and a passion for the arts. Spacious studios allow children to explore drawing, painting, and pottery. Students’ artwork is often displayed around the school and during exhibitions. Our skilled teachers have also guided students through their board examinations in the field of art.
Math Lab
Mathematics needs to be learnt with a sense of joy and delight. It needs to be related, where possible, to life-oriented activities, to create interest in the subject. Since mathematics goes beyond formula, theory and problems given in textbooks, it has to be learned by doing, not by rote memorization but through a variety of activities involving concrete objects. This requires a suitable place for performing the activities. Since the establishment of a math lab at school, the teachers are enabled to demonstrate, explain and reinforce abstract mathematical concepts/ideas by using concrete objects, models, charts, graphs, pictures, posters, etc. Learners across grades are able to grasp the concepts, facts and principles of mathematics effectively and are able to develop a positive attitude towards the subject. This multi-sensory approach to learning is helping to engage the students more actively and making learning holistic, integrated and enjoyable.
Canteen Facility
The school canteen provides a clean, hygienic, and well-maintained space for students to purchase nutritious and freshly cooked food. The canteen is open during snack and lunch breaks as per the school schedule. Students are encouraged to place the used plates in the tubs provided, dispose of the waste responsibly in the bins provided, and maintain cleanliness. Students may avail weekly or monthly coupons if they wish to use the canteen facility frequently.
