A three-day Human Space Flight Expo was organized by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in Bengaluru to celebrate India’s space achievements and 75 years of India’s Independence. Students from Daffodils English School wholeheartedly participated in three of the many events that took place.
A team of two of our students from grade 8 presented a poster on the topic ‘Life in a multiplanetary society’ and bagged the first prize. The judges were very impressed with the creative poster and the presentation by the students.
Similarly, a team of two 10th graders participated in an interactive questionnaire round on ‘What’s in an Astronaut’s bag?’ and won first prize.
Apart from this our students from grade 8 also made a model on the topic ‘Build your own space habitat’ and tried their hands on creating a model habitat on Moon.
The prizes were given away during the closing ceremony in the presence of Wing Commander (Retd) Rakesh Sharma. Our students were also given a chance to ask questions to the Wing Commander during the interaction.
The students from Daffodils English School created history at the Expo with their participation and laurels and definitely made the school proud.
