Ms Rajshree Ashok

My association with Daffodils English School spans over two decades. It has been an experience of learning and teaching inquisitive minds. Developing values and imparting the right knowledge has been the prime focus of this journey.

It has been an honour and privilege to be guided by and work with our mentor, Shri P. K. Bheemaiah. Teaching both the State and ICSE streams has given me insights into shaping the future of many students.

I have been a part of many workshops, youth meets, and conferences that have enriched my experiences. It was a privilege to receive the Best Teacher Award 2024 from the State Government.

The simple yet powerful motto, “Do well all you do,” continues to motivate me every day in this beautiful journey.

With over 20 years of dedicated service at Daffodils English School, I have had the opportunity to serve in diverse roles such as Class Teacher, Sports Coordinator, Class Coordinator, House In-charge, and Admissions Department Administrator. Each role has contributed uniquely to my growth, helping me evolve not only as an educator but also as a leader and learner.
This journey has enriched me both professionally and personally, and I continue to remain passionate about nurturing young minds and contributing meaningfully to the academic community.

I am privileged to have been associated with Daffodils English School for the past ten years as a teacher. My journey with this esteemed institution has been both enriching and transformative, contributing significantly to my personal and professional growth.

DES has always upheld high standards of education and holistic development. The school’s supportive environment, visionary leadership, and emphasis on values-based education have inspired me to give my best every day.

The management has been a strong motivating factor throughout my service, and I remain grateful to them for providing a platform that nurtures not only students but also teachers.
It has been an honour to contribute to the school’s mission.

A Decade of Learning and Growing Together

As I look back on my ten-year journey with Daffodils English School, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. What began as a teaching role soon became a second home — a place where I learned, evolved, and formed lasting relationships.

Over the years, I have had the joy of witnessing young minds grow, blossom, and shine in their unique ways. Each day in the classroom has brought new challenges and beautiful moments, shaping me not only as a teacher but also as a lifelong learner.

I deeply appreciate the school management for their unwavering support and vision. Daffodils English School has always encouraged a nurturing environment that goes beyond academics. The emphasis on sports, arts, cultural events, and co-curricular activities ensures that every child receives a well-rounded education. This holistic approach plays a vital role in shaping confident, responsible, and creative individuals.

I am equally thankful to my fellow educators for their camaraderie and shared commitment, and most importantly, to my students, whose curiosity, energy, and innocence have been my greatest source of inspiration.

Being part of this institution has been more than just a profession — it has been a journey of purpose and passion. I look forward to many more meaningful years ahead, guided by the same dedication and love for teaching.

Ms Rajni Ganapathy

Daffodils English School has been an integral part of my life for the past 13 years, not just as an educator but also as a parent. I’ll admit, when I first started teaching, it wasn’t something I saw myself enjoying. I was hesitant, unsure, even afraid to speak in front of a handful of people. But today, I find myself confidently addressing rooms full of students, parents, and colleagues, thanks to the constant encouragement and support I have received here.

Time truly flies when I’m with the children. What once felt like a job slowly became something I genuinely look forward to every day. My role has grown over the years, especially in nurturing our language and cultural roots, and it’s been incredibly rewarding.

My son, too, has spent all 13 years of his schooling here, and watching him grow into a confident young man and graduate as the Head Boy has been the proudest moment of my life. Daffodils has not only shaped him — it has shaped me too. It’s more than a school; it’s a family that brings out the best in all of us.

Spreading joy through books and learning
My journey at Daffodils English School spans over two decades, and it has been a truly rewarding experience — one filled with purpose, pride, and immense joy. I have had the privilege of witnessing how a love for books can shape young minds and enrich the spirit of a school.

Since the school’s inception in 1978, the spirit of spreading joy, encouraging sharing, and nurturing knowledge has been at the core of its values. These are ideals I have always held close to my heart.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey has been watching our library grow. Our founder, Shri P. K. Bheemaiah, took a personal interest in its development. What began as a small collection has now blossomed into a beautiful, well-equipped library — home to over 10,000 books.

We are now proud to have class libraries in place for Grades 1 to 5, encouraging reading habits from an early age. For me, it is more than just a space for reading — it is a calm, inspiring space that fosters curiosity and supports a lifelong love for learning. Truly, a temple of learning.
A tradition I hold dear is encouraging children to donate books on their birthdays — a beautiful gesture that continues to this day. This simple act nurtures values like sharing, caring, and spreading joy through the gift of reading.

As a librarian, my main aim is to inculcate reading habits among children along with moral values. I believe books are not just a source of knowledge but also powerful tools to shape character and compassion. I strive to create a reading culture that nurtures both the mind and the heart.

To further strengthen this culture, we also organise book fairs on PTM days in collaboration with reputed publishers. These fairs bring the joy of books closer to both children and parents, encouraging a shared enthusiasm for reading.

A memorable and unique experience in my journey was conducting online classes through platforms like Microsoft Teams and Google Meet during the COVID-19 pandemic, involving both children and parents. It was heart-warming to see families engaging with stories and finding joy even in challenging times.

And last but not least, the joy of spreading knowledge through books and stories continues to give me immense pleasure and pride. It is this quiet but powerful joy that makes my role as a librarian so special.
