At Daffodils English School, Children’s Day is celebrated every year on the 14th of November with great enthusiasm and festive spirit to honour the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India, who was known for his deep affection for children.
The day begins with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, which includes informative and inspiring speeches highlighting the significance of the occasion.
Following the assembly, the school hosts Hejje – the annual cultural and performing arts intramural competition for students across all grades. A variety of events such as fancy dress, art fun, solo singing, group dance, and dance drama presentations are conducted. Every performance is judged by a competent panel, and certificates are awarded to deserving participants, acknowledging their talent and effort.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the day is the cultural show by the teachers, dedicated to entertaining the students.
